There are three kinds of carburetor - vacuum membrane carburetor, plunger type carburetor, electronically controlled carburetor.
What is the difference between a vacuum membrane carburetor and a plunger carburetor?
The difference between the vacuum membrane carburetor and the plunger type carburetor is not large. The biggest difference is the "acceleration" aspect, and the plunger type carburetor is very sensitive to acceleration, but if it is accelerated, it will cause negative pressure. Large enough to make the carburetor supply insufficient. The vacuum diaphragm carburetor, as the name suggests, is made up of the vacuum on the carburetor to compensate for the large changes in the negative pressure, even in the case of emergency acceleration, it can ensure smooth oil supply. In addition, the current atomization effect is relatively good. Most of the motorcycles use vacuum diaphragm carburetor.
However, due to the high precision of the vacuum carburetor, it is difficult for the consumers to maintain the usual maintenance work. In addition, the quality of the domestic vacuum carburetor products is more common. If the vacuum diaphragm is damaged, Then it will be very troublesome. Therefore, it is not difficult to conclude that the plunger carburetor is relatively durable, and the vacuum membrane carburetor is very advantageous in terms of emergency acceleration.
The electronically controlled carburetor is an improved carburetor that corrects the mixture concentration of a common carburetor based on a common carburetor and applies electronic control technology. Its basic structure is roughly the same as that of a common carburetor. But it complements a range of electronic controls. These include: various sensors to measure engine operating parameters (such as speed, intake pressure, water temperature, oxygen concentration in the exhaust, etc.) to the electronic control unit.
The electronic control unit calculates the correction amount of the air-fuel ratio according to the operating condition of the engine, and controls the operation of the solenoid valve. The solenoid valve increases or decreases the amount of oil supplied or the amount of air infiltrated according to the instruction of the electronic control device, thereby achieving the purpose of adjusting the air-fuel ratio of the mixture. The electronically controlled carburetor is an improvement on the carburetor, which greatly improves the accuracy of the carburetor supply and reduces emissions, and is much less expensive than expensive electronically controlled gasoline injection devices.
Related knowledge: EFI (program control fuel injection) system is not called carburetor. There are two ways to fuel the motorcycle: carburetor and electric spray.
